An early Christmas

Friday we took the kids down to walk the river walk. They hold Christmas on the Cumberland every year and decorate with tons of lights.

They also had a live nativity scene this year, complete with goats, sheep and a camel: Since we are going home for Christmas this year (YAY!) we asked Santa if he could come to our house early this year. So when we came back from the river walk, we put out milk and cookies, along with a little note for Santa: They were super excited the next morning!

Unfortunately they understand that there are two more Christmas coming, and very soon.

It's begining to look alot like Christmas!

Our Christmas tree went up Thanksgiving Day. Which is much better than last year, when Jeremy put it up November 12th. The kids have been loving it, and are very willing to pose for pictures!

This past weekend we went to the Christmas Parade. It was very cold this year. We do not have a lot of pictures because the cold made my camera go into shock and it was barely working for most of the parade.

We took the kids to bass Pro Shop again this year to visit Santa:

Unfortunately that was everyone elses idea too, which made it a crazy day!

Catch-up

We haven't been up to much lately. Just the same-old. So I haven't had much to blog about, just have a few pictures.

Helping Daddy work on the Trans-am Movie time! We were watching the new GI Joe movie and apparently they needed Dominic's help getting the bad guys: He "helped" them through out the whole movie :) Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!

Dominic's First Feild Trip!

Dominic had his very first feild trip this week! His class went to the Customs House Museum. He was really excited!

They heard a story, then went looking for circles, all around the museum:

Which led them to a race car:

And a really old firetruck and some horse drawn wagons:

Then they made a craft:

And were able to have some free-play time in the discoverer's corner:

Halloween

The kids were super excited for Halloween this year. They both understood that they get to dress up and get candy :) We had Mummies ( AKA pigs in a blanket) for supper:And the kids were able to eat it in the living room and watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown:

Then they got in their costumes and went trick-or-treating: My opinion may be a bit biased, but I think they were the cutest Bumblebee and Tinkerbell :)

Ghouls at the Zoo

We've been having great Fall weather this week, which led to lots of playing in the leaves:

We also took the kids to Ghouls at the Zoo this weekend. They posed for pictures:

Walked through the zoo to the candy stands:

Went through a maze:

Danced at the Monster Mash:

And had tons of fun!

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we took the kids to a pumpkin patch!

We went on a hayride: Checked out all the animals on the farm:

Went through a corn maze:

And then came home and decorated the pumpkins. This year I found face pieces that are like a Mr. Potato head but you stick them in the pumpkin. The kids said they wanted those instead of painting like last year, so these were the final products:

Family, Fun and Fire

Everyone finally felt better before last weekend, so we made the most of it!

My SIL (http://www.ohiofamof4.blogspot.com/) has blogged about going to Cops and Kids for two years now, so I got on the Internet and found out we had one too! so on Saturday I took the kids to check it out. They had a blast. It was a bit cold, but once they realized they could touch/ get in everything it was on!

Saturday afternoon the church we go to had a Family Fun and Bonfire day. So the kids had their faces painted and made a few crafts: Dominic even participated in some relay races:

On Sunday we decided to go camping for two nights. We lucked out and the rain held off until we got home, but it was a little chilly in the mornings until the fire got started.

We got lots of fishing:
