Yes, I have so many pictures I am going to have to go by days to put them up. I know you are all so excited! I actually did really badly with my camera this vacation, which is a rarity. Usually people are yelling at me to stop taking pictures, but luckily my awesome sister-in-law Heather picked up my slack! :) Thanks!!
So these are actually from the first two days of vacation in Thibodaux. We went to look at Laurel Valley. These are actual slave quarters. The plantation is mostly burned down and was so overgrown you really couldn't make it out.
After we went to a kind everything in one place store. It was a souvenirs shop/antiques/museum/very old building. Yea, I'm not really sure what the name was either but it was interesting. The kids posing at the back doors of the store:

We then went to the
Fireman's Fair (
http://www.thibfiredept.org/FairMainMenu.aspx). The kids had a blast going on the rides. There was a live band too, it was Bag of Doughnuts. Yea, a little odd. Even more odd they were dressed like the band Kiss and singing oldies and country. They were good though.
Dominic and Aunt Sheila. Since Dominic associates people by where we were and what he did, Aunt Sheila will probably forever be the caterpillar ride lady, sorry Aunt Sheila.

There are 2 more sets of stairs below the ones showing. The sign for the riverwalk is normally on an upper level of the walk (and there is another path lower on the same bank) It was level to the water:

It was crazy. The barges are there becaue the water was so high they couldn't get under this bridge:
