Winter craft

Well, the title should be an attempt at winter crafts. Haha. I am not crafty in the least, but try to do some with the kids. So me and Dominic made some snowflakes the other day. Dominic's turned turned out pretty good, especially since he rarely gets to cut things. He was so excited and proud:

The Christmas Parade

Last saturday we went to the Clarksville Christmas Parade. ( yes, i know! I'm very late at getting this up! But I do have a very good excuse! ;) Finals!!!!). We weren't exactly sure of where the route was so we guessed and ended up exactly where everyone else decided to watch the parade. Which figures. haha. But it turned out to be a good mistake because they had the chorus from Austin Peay State University singing in front of the courthouse which we happened to be right across the street from. So that was a nice bonus while we waited for the parade. It was really cold though. The kids had fun but they definately looked happy to get in the car when we left. This is as good of a picture I could get of the kids. They really were not feeling getting their pictures taken. At least they were both looking here: I really wanted to get a picture of a few minutes later when they really got bored and their gloves became weapons that they used to hit eachother with. Dinner on the General Jackson

Since Jeremy's unit is for wounded soldiers they are regularly given tickets to give out to shows, sports games, concerts, all sorts of stuff. Some are given for the soldiers and some given to the leadership. We were able to get a pair of tickets for a dinner and show on the General Jackson showboat. The boat holds lots of different events and takes you down the Cumberland River. Getting ready for Christmas early

For some reason as soon as it is November Jeremy reverts back to being a kid and wants it to be Christmas immediately. If he had had it his way we probally would have decorated and set up the tree when he came back from San Antonio, November 8th. I on the other hand LOVE Thanksgiving and think we shouldn't decorate for Christmas when we haven't eaten too much turkey celebrating Thanksgiving. I was able to hold it off for awhile with him going back to work and all. This week though we all ended up getting sick and Jeremy's doctor gave him 3 days of quarters, which means he can not leave the house for three days. So I was no longer able to prolong the Christmas decorating and up went the tree and decorations. The kids helping daddy with the branches: Putting the candy canes up: Finished!

Veterans day

Jeremy had off Verterans Day so we took the kids to Jump Zone. I found this place a few months ago and the kids love it! Its a huge room full of bouncy houses and slides.

Autumn really liked it last time we were there, but this time she went down a couple times and then was completely over it. She was content playing with the baby toys and dancing to music.

Jeremy in San Antonio

Jeremy had to go to a school in San Antonio for 2 weeks. He had the weekend off and was able to do a little siteseeing. So he was able to go to the Alamo. The chapel: The courtyard: An original cannon: They literally built the city around it:

Meet Clifford!

Our Boarder's in the mall randomly has characters come and read stories and pose for pictures. So today they had Clifford the big red dog. The kids LOVE the show now that it started coming on before Sesame Street. So I put Autumn down for an early nap and we headed over there to check it out. Clifford sat on a chair and acted out the books while a lady read the actual book. They read three books, then everyone lined up to get pictures. Waving at Clifford when he first came in:

They waved to him through all three books. Would not sit down, they just stood there and kept waving. Apparrently Clifford did not acknowledge them to their satisfaction.

Dominic ran up to him and gave him a huge hug, but of course I didnt get my camera up fast enough. But this turned out ok too:

Halloween

We started celebrating early Halloween day! We had ghost pancakes for breakfast!
