Another snowy day
Wendsday we ended up getting more snow. Thankfully more than last time. We had been getting ice and rain, and they were calling for us to just get more us. So I was definately glad it was snow instead!
We have no sleds, so the kids went down in the wash basket:

A warm day!
Friday the temperature got up to 65 degrees!! It was crazy, but so nice! So I took the kids to the park:

Then we walked down the riverwalk to see the boats on the river. The kids were waving to all of them.
Now today it back down to the 30's. The high this weekend is 35 degrees. And the kids looked like this trying to feed the ducks at Dunbar Cave today:
Yea, They were cold. So we quickly feed the ducks and got out of there! The warm day was such a tease!

Finally some snow
I hated snow while in PA and Germany, but since moving here and getting snow became a rarity I miss it. This winter Dominic and I have been watching the weather constantly hoping for some snow. But the storm always seemed to go right around us. The last one actually even split to go around our street and the base and downtown both got snow. Dominic told me the other week he wished his house was where it snow all the times so he can play in it. I said I did too!! So when we woke up this morning to this:
Dominic was very excited! But Dominic thought that he was going to be able to REALLY play in it. So after breakfast we bundled them up. Dominic even attepted to make a snow angel.
But without much luck. They were still pretty excited about it and had fun. It only took them a few minutes to realize there really wasn't snow to play in though and they ended up playing on the swingset.
A few boring weeks
I apoligize for not blogging much lately. We really haven't been up to much though. I started school again two weeks ago so I was getting back into the groove of school work and its really been too cold to do anything with the kids outdoors.
Yep, one of Dominic's cap guns. Such a girly girl.
We went to a car show this weekend. I don't really have any pictures of us there. It was too cold outside to take any and then really packed inside. It was really hard to even move around in some areas. Which made it very interesting with two kids and a stroller. So the only pictures we have are of random cars and none of us.
One little tidbit: The other day Autumn was carrying around a purse she has and I happened to look over at here at one point and noticed she had something extra in with the kitty cat that came with it:

Christmas Eve
All dressed up in our Christmas outfits for church:

The kids really DID NOT want to take pictures. We were very lucky to come out with one pretty decent. Dominic just wanted to dance so he kept coming out blurry and Autumn didn't want to do anything so she ended up crying. This is the next best:
And thank you Nana and Pop Pop for our new PJ's to wear Christmas Eve!!
Christmas Day
This year the kids definately knew what was going on. Dominic was opening presents so fast Autumn still had six to open when Dom was done. There is just no way I can post pictures of the kids with ALL of the presents (I'm sorry, but that would be the longest blog ever) so here are a few good shots:

Dominic and his marshmellow shooter. We had to help him at first, but it didnt take him long to figure out a way to shoot it by himself. Thanks Uncle Jason! :)

separation anxiety
Dominic has always really liked cars, so we didnt really think it was odd when he started to constantly carry them around. But then they had to start watching him at the table while he ate and even while he went potty. Now I think maybe its starting to get out of control. The other day this is how many cars he had to carry with him through out the entire day:
To say it was a hassle is an understatement! Ha ha. So if anyone has an recommendations on children and separation anxiety with matchbox cars it would be appreciated!
Christmas cookies
Thursday we made our Christmas cookies. We only made cut-outs because then the kids could help and we wouldn't have a million cookies to eat.

Autumn's take on decorating is shake it as hard as I can and hope the sprinkles get on the cookies. She had sprinkles everywhere, in her hair and all:

There is only one picture of Dominic decorating because he told me he couldn't take anymore. When I asked him why not he said: Mommy, you take the pictures all the times. I just cant! I managed to get one while he was tasting them though:

The River Walk
Santa!
Jeremy had off on Monday so we ran up to the mall in Nashville to do some shopping and let the kids see santa. Once Jeremy found out that Bass Pro Shop had a santa they weren't allowed to go see any other santa. I'm thinking that was just a good excuse to go to Bass Pro Shop. :) Dominic was ready this year and ran right up to him. Santa didn't even get a chance to say anything to him before Dom was telling him that he wanted cars. Autumn actually surprised me too and ran right to him. But we made her wait to go second so that she could see Dominic with santa first, so that might have helped. I was all prepared for a melt down that thankfully never came!
