Jeremy's WLC graduation

Jeremy was in a military school called the Warrior Leadership Course (WLC). We were very proud that he made it on the commandant's list too. Here is link: http://www.goarmy.com/life/primary_leadership.jsp to a site that lists what all they do, and has videos too I think, is anyone is interested. But here are some pictures from his graduation. All the graduates: Jeremy's platoon:
Saluting the flag:
The Sergeant Majors speech:
Giving out awards:
Reciting the NCO Creed:
Here is a link to the Creed if anyone is wondering what that is: http://www.armystudyguide.com/content/army_board_study_guide_topics/nco_history/nco-creed.shtml

A Day at the Park

We've been having beautiful weather lately, so on teusday I took the kids to the park. This is their favorite park here, mostly because its huge and has everything imaginable, but we dont get to bring them here often because its every other kids favorite park around here too. I would have had more pictures (better pictures haha) but the kids (of course) wanted to be at opposite sides of the park the entire time we were there. So I spent most of the time running back and forth making sure they didn't escape the playground area. This is pretty much what every picture I took of Autumn looks like. She was much too busy to stop for me:

St. Patty's Day

We had such a beautiful weather for St. Patrick's Day! We started it out with green pancakes: We also went for a picnic and played at a playground before Dominic's school. But I have no pictures because I was busy killing every bug that came within a foot of Dominic and his food so he would stop screaming and making sure Autumn's food stayed on her plate and not on the ground. After school we played in the front yard: Dominic wouldn't get his picture taken unless it was with me.

A bit of a hiatus

With the craziness of going to PA, everything with Dad and coming home just in time to take finals I took a little blogging vacation. So I will catch you all up! Here are the few pictures we took while in PA. The kids with Uncle D: Autumn trying out Mommy's cowboy boots:
Monkey towels from Nana and Pop Pop:
We had Autumn's birthday celebration after we got back to TN. The birthday girl, I mean princess:
Cake! When Autumn finished her piece she asked for more, I told her she could only have one piece, so she licked the plate clean:
Presents: Now Dominic keeps asking when he can have his birthday so they can eat more cake.

Another nice day

So we were lucky enough to get another nice, warm day today. It was about 60 degrees. So we made lunch and headed over to Dunbar cave (yet again) for a picnic and a hike. Dominic trying to hide from us so he could jump out and scare us. We tried to explain maybe a bigger tree would be easier to hide behind, but what does mom and dad know? Again feeding the ducks and geese: For some reason Autumn had to keep her hands in the pockets of her sweatshirt. She's never done it before so it was kind of funny. Like she just realized they were there. So I thought this picture was just too cute:
So we definitely enjoyed the great day. Although tonight we are supposed to get to 30's and have a winter mix by morning. Is it any wonder why we are all congested and half sick?

Another snowy day

Wendsday we ended up getting more snow. Thankfully more than last time. We had been getting ice and rain, and they were calling for us to just get more us. So I was definately glad it was snow instead! We have no sleds, so the kids went down in the wash basket:
Dominic could finally make a real snow angel: Autumn joining in the fun:

A warm day!

Friday the temperature got up to 65 degrees!! It was crazy, but so nice! So I took the kids to the park: Then we walked down the riverwalk to see the boats on the river. The kids were waving to all of them.
Now today it back down to the 30's. The high this weekend is 35 degrees. And the kids looked like this trying to feed the ducks at Dunbar Cave today:
Yea, They were cold. So we quickly feed the ducks and got out of there! The warm day was such a tease!

Finally some snow

I hated snow while in PA and Germany, but since moving here and getting snow became a rarity I miss it. This winter Dominic and I have been watching the weather constantly hoping for some snow. But the storm always seemed to go right around us. The last one actually even split to go around our street and the base and downtown both got snow. Dominic told me the other week he wished his house was where it snow all the times so he can play in it. I said I did too!! So when we woke up this morning to this:Dominic was very excited! But Dominic thought that he was going to be able to REALLY play in it. So after breakfast we bundled them up. Dominic even attepted to make a snow angel. But without much luck. They were still pretty excited about it and had fun. It only took them a few minutes to realize there really wasn't snow to play in though and they ended up playing on the swingset.
