Winter fun

We were lucky enough to get some snow this Christmas!And the kids were more than happy to play in it! We also made a gingerbread house: And got a hike in a day we were all home: Can't believe Christmas is over and January is on it's way! Pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be up soon!

Christmas lights!

This year we went down to see the lighting of the Christmas lights on the Riverwalk. They had a band singing Christmas songs and then the mayor and Santa flipped the switch to the lights. The kids also got to see Kris Kringle, his penguin friend and the Channel 4 (alocal news station) Snowbird: We then walked the riverwalk to check out the lights: And got to take a picture with Santa!

Some Thanksgiving fun!

Dominic had a Thanksgiving celebration at his school. They made Indian headbands and necklaces, learned a few songs and ate a turkey dinner! He did a great job!

Halloween!

We woke up and had some Pumpkin Pancakes for breakfast! And Mummies for supper: The kids were all ready for some Trick or Treating! And they sure made out pretty good this year! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!!

Football

We took the kids to their first football game the other weekend! We took them to a home game at my school. Austin Peay's team coming on to the feild: The kids really got a kick out of our mascot, The Gov: And Dominic even got one of the AP footballs they threw into the crowd: The kids had tons of fun. Dominic has never sat so still in his life =)

Feild Trips

My big girl had her first feildtrip! We went to a local farm. She played in the giant box of corn: Watched a goat get milked (then got to pet it): Thought this was funny and had to have her picture taken =) And fed some of the animals: Dominic went on his first big kid school trip the next day! We went to the same farm. He also thought this was funny =) Fed the animals: And went down a giant slide! The kids had a blast and Mommy was glad she got to go with them!

Labor Day

This year for Labor Day Billy Ray Cyrus invited some soldiers from Ft. Campbell up to his ranch in Nashville. We were lucky and were able to go! It was for a photo shoot for his next album called I'm American. So there is a chance the kids and/or Jeremy will be in the video. It was a fun day and now we'll have to wait and see!

Dominic's 5th Birthday!

Dominic wanted a Transformer party again this year. So he invited some friends over for some fun and food! The birthday boy and Autumn excited for everyone to arrive: Water balloon fight! Food! Present time: And cake! Thank you again to everyone who came to celebrate Dominic's birthday!He had a great day!

First day of school!

Dominic's first day of school was the day after vacation this year. Autumn's was the following Monday. I was very sad that Dominic was going to Kindergarten and that my baby was starting Pre-school. They on the other hand had no problems at all with it. PS- sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. I almost forgot to take them! (I know, bad momma!) and had to snap them quick as we were heading out the door.

Vacation

We took a vaction to the cabin in PA in the begining of August. It was a 15 day vacation and I took over 250 pictures, so I'll give ya the quick version. We stopped in Ohio for two days on the way up: Had a little birthday celebration for Dominic: Took the kids to Deer Park: Did some fishing: Took a hike: Went to the Woodsman's Show: Hiked at Rock City Got in lots of time in the sandbox at the cabin: Swam at Lyman Lake: And stopped in Ohio for 2 more days on the way back home. My sister-in-law, Heather and I took Dominic to the Columbus Zoo while the guys took the girls on a Daddy Daughter Day: We had a great vacation and tons of fun!
